Todd W. Polyniak, CPA
Todd Polyniak is a principal with Sax Macy Fromm & Co., PC and the Director of the firm's Accounting and Auditing practice. With 27 years of experience, Todd's role is to ensure that the firm is following proper accounting and auditing procedures. He combines his technical expertise with personal service, and is instrumental in identifying problems, and formulating viable solutions for clients.
As the Director of the firm's Not-for-Profit-Service Group, Todd provides consulting services to a variety of not-for-profit organizations to help increase their efficiency and effectiveness. His experience includes:
- Assisting in meeting compliance requirements.
- Performing highly specialized government auditing standards audits (Yellow Book), and A-133 audits.
- Helping clients with strategic planning, in order to remain competitive in the marketplace.
- Advising clients on effectively working with financers and banks.
- Providing clients with the latest information and trends affecting not-for-profit organizations.
Todd is also the Director of SMF's Financial Services Niche, providing audit, tax, and consulting services to broker dealers, hedge funds, and private equity groups. His areas of expertise include:
- Helping start-up hedge funds get established.
- Advising new businesses on the requirements for a successful start-up operation.
- Guiding clients through financial changes in the economy.
In addition, Todd provides consulting services to mid-size manufacturing and distribution companies, reviewing their business operations to improve margins, control costs, and increase efficiency and productivity.
Todd received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Rutgers University, where he was named a Rutgers Scholar. He is Certified Public Accountant, licensed in both New Jersey and New York.
